100Mi Ride
The 100 mile ride is a good first 100 mile ride. It heads
south from Morgan Hill through the rolling east foothills all the way to
Hollister before heading back north along the west foothills. It’s a
beautiful ride past farms, reservoirs and vineyards.

lanes and it’s a scenic route including Morgan Hill’s famous mushroom
farms.

The I Care Classic once again has the starting point
in Morgan Hill, just off Cochrane Road at Monterey Highway and Madrone Parkway. We’ve tried to avoid the traffic snarls of San Jose
allowing the rides to take advantage of the more scenic south county.
All routes are well marked with great rest stops and water stops. There
is full SAG support throughout the ride. The routes are all very scenic
and especially beautiful in the spring.
A wide variety of foods and
beverages will be available at the rest stops and before the ride. Those
that have ridden before know that the Almaden Super Lions are wonderful
hosts and help make the day memorable and enjoyable. The registration
and course open at 6:00am with coffee and bagels available. At the
conclusion of the ride, we ask participants to check in before enjoying
the hot barbeque lunch.
Safety is a primary concern for us. We have the routes well marked, and
our SAG teams roam the routes for support. We have plenty of fluids in the rest
stop and out in the vehicles. Please wear your helmet at all times on the
Tour. We do ask that all riders have with them basic bicycle repair equipment, like tire patches, screwdrivers, and wrenches.
