Routes

We’ve made a small change near the beginning all the rides this year to avoid construction on the streets we’ve used in the past.

We also improved the 100-mile ride, based on last year’s feedback. To allow for more flexibility on the longer rides, we’ve added the switchover points between the 100-mile and 100K routes to the cue sheets.

Check out the routes below.

Our 100 mile this year travels south from Paramit to the east foothills of Morgan Hill and Gilroy. We will ride on some beautiful country roads with magnificent vistas. When we return to the valley floor we will cross to the west foothills heading north to Coyote Valley. Then we had back past Chesbro Reservoir and back down into Morgan Hill. We stay with mostly country roads on this 100-mile journey. You’ll find the map and a download for your Garmin over at RideWithGPS

If you choose to do the 100-mile and decide to trim a little off the route, there are a number of locations where you can switch over to the 100K for a portion of the ride. Those points are listed on our cue sheet. Cue sheets for all routes are available at early or day-of-ride checkin, though you can also see it here.

Course start time is between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM. All courses close at 4:00 PM.

Our ride starts at Paramit Corporation in Morgan Hill. We start out heading south along the east foothills and ride up into some exclusive and beautiful country roads with fantastic vistas. As we leave the foothills and head across the valley in Gilroy, we stay away from heavy traffic and rest at beautiful Los Animas Park. From there we head into the east foothills traveling on Mantelli over to Burchell Rd avoiding Hecker Pass Highway. We will ride down Day road and then head to McKean Rd via Oak Glen. This is a beautiful country ride through the east foothills. We exit McKean on Bailey and head back to Paramit Corporation for a wonderful BBQ lunch. You’ll find the map and a download for your Garmin over at RideWithGPS.

If you choose to do the 100K and decide to add a little to your route, there are a number of locations where you can switch over to the 100-mile for a portion of the ride. Those points are listed on our cue sheet. Cue sheets for all routes are available at early or day-of-ride checkin, though you can also see it here.

The 50K route tours the base of the east foothills of South Santa Clara County and then crosses the valley to the west, traveling over mild hills on the return route back to Paramit. The ride starts on Madrone Parkway and heads east to Cochrane Road. The ride continues to wind through the base of the east foothill roads (Hill, Foothill, and New) to the first rest stop. The ride continues south to and then into some vistas without much climbing. Then, across to the east side to Santa Teresa Blvd, up to Sycamore and Oak Glen before returning to Paramit.
